Now for the todays topic. In the words of the tourist guide, the original look is not preserved much, as you can compare stock Suzuki GN 400 photo.
All the plastics, then the lights, the fenders, the air box, the mirrors and all the other unnecessary details, were left in the dustbin all the way, except for the frame, wheels and a single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, also used as a lightweight enduro engine in the Suzuki SP 400, who in his best years offered a 27 horsepower series.

Further modifications of the engine and the motorcycle had one goal: to reduce the weight and increase performance. The engine passed through a thorough crankcase and, after cleaning and adjusting, got new seals. The air box was replaced by an air-cooled K & N filter, a polished suction duct for smoother fueling, and an open exhaust for quick flue gas extraction (with an excellent soundtrack of the emgo tailgate on a custom-made lead).
The original idea of painting the sheet parts with colorless varnish did not eventually materialize, and instead, the bike got a genuine brushed metallic paint in silicone silver. Wheels and frame are painted comaxite in white / red combination.
